I mean their articles are legitimate, but their written in a way that just says "I know I'm a real journalist and my articles are good and important, but... LOOK AT ME!!"

Don't forget the mix of "journalism" and gossip next to one another. Not saying jalonik is much better but they really could be an outlet for actual news about progressive topics relating to human rights........and then they cluck around like chickens in a pen every time a woman is a victim in a crime while also gawking (ha!) over celeb gossip. Jezebel = the national inquirer of gawker media.

I get so many comments like this in everything thing I write. Like people don't know how Gawker Media is designed and how that's out of our control as writers.

Its not about her, I actually like Kat, She stands for good morals and Is a respectable journalist. This comment is not about her, however her insight into how jezebel works could be enlightening

I do too, and jezebel is not a bad blog. It just needs to be run a little bit better. I realize its not the journalists fault. Just my two cents

The amount of people who have no idea how Gawker/Kinja works is hilarious. I particularly love it when a post from Oppositelock gets front paged, then commenters who disagree with the original post rant about how "one of 'Junklopnik's' paid automotive journalists" could write such things. Nevermind Oppositelock logos replacing the Jalopnik logos on the post.

On a more specific note I do enjoy your articles quite a bit. Also I've been happy to see you poking around here on Oppo more often lately. It's always cool to see harmonious overlapping of the various Kinja communities :)
